Doll Maker's Diary, Part 5: Valentine's Day Special
Today is Valentine's Day, and to celebrate, I have made one artwork each of my four Doll Maker characters (Tiffany, Katherine, Jessica and Michelle, in that order) in red dresses, and holding red flowers. So, without further ado, here they are.
The first card is actually a recolor of an earlier one I made. Originally, the dress and background were both black, while the rose in Tiff's hand was white. All three are now bright red, and to fit the Valentine's Day theme, I gave her red jewels as well.
The second card is similar to one which will be shown in an upcoming post, except that Katherine has been given a red flower, necklace and bangle, and her long dress is now bright scarlet.
In keeping with red being Jessica's color of choice, this design is quite logical. In fact, it will be shown on an upcoming post in which I give her a brief description.
Finally, here is Michelle, now wearing a darker shade of red. I also redesigned her slightly by giving her a different updo and a rounder face due to my mild dissatisfaction with her original design. The new one is more obviously inspired by supermodel Jourdan Dunn, but still adds some welcome racial diversity to my Doll Maker characters.
That just about does it for this special post, but there will be more cards planned featuring these four characters, so stay tuned.
