Confessions of an Automationeer, Part 158: Another CEL Challenge Remix Update
The CEL Challenge Remix spinner wheel set after my latest revisions.
I have revised the CEL Challenge Remix spinner wheel set (shown above) yet again, so here are some of the changes I made:
- The "Cast Headers Only" Unlucky option is now "Compact Intake and Headers Only", which is even more restrictive, thus making builds under this condition more challenging with regards to engine output (although combining the two will reduce loudness values even further than if either of them were selected on their own). Moreover, the "FWD" option now requires longitudinal engine placement, which is even less space-efficient, but is available sooner. Finally, the "1x Single Barrel Eco Carb Only" is no longer compatible with racing or performance intakes, limiting engine outputs even further if it applies.
- The "Unlimited Fuel Octane" Lucky option now allows use of any fuel type, regardless of its octane rating and category (leaded, unleaded, ethanol, etc.). In addition, the "AWD" option no longer allows the use of a 4x4 drivetrain, since the two drivetrain types are not one and the same. Another restriction that for a combination whose Era is either the 1940s or the 1950s, selecting AWD results in an invalid combination that cannot be used, since the earliest year in which AWD can be unlocked is 1965, and even then, only with +15 techpool and a longitudinally mounted engine.
The other four wheels in the set remain functionally unchanged compared to previous versions. Overall, this is a light refresh meant to make the spinner wheel set less confusing and more specific in certain situations.
